Scope of This Policy
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to consultation fees paid to OM Associates ("the Firm") through our online consultation booking system. It sets out the conditions under which refunds are granted, the process for requesting a refund, and the timeline for processing.
By completing payment for a consultation booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this policy in full. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
Consultation Fee
OM Associates charges a flat consultation fee of [CONSULTATION FEE] (GST inclusive) for an initial consultation of up to 30–45 minutes with a qualified lawyer. This fee covers the consultation session only and does not constitute a retainer, engagement fee, or payment towards any ongoing legal work.
The consultation fee is due and payable at the time of booking. Your appointment slot is only confirmed upon successful receipt of payment. Unpaid bookings may be automatically cancelled after 24 hours.

Refund Schedule
The applicable refund depends on how much notice is given before the scheduled appointment. All notice periods are calculated from the date and time of the appointment, not the date of booking.
All refund amounts are calculated as a percentage of the total fee paid (inclusive of GST). Where GST has been collected, the refund amount will reflect the applicable tax treatment.
How to Request a Cancellation or Refund
To cancel your booking and request a refund, please contact us using one of the following methods before your scheduled appointment time:
Please include your full name, the date and time of your appointment, your booking reference (if available), and your payment transaction ID. Requests made after the appointment time has passed will not be eligible for a refund regardless of attendance.

Refund Processing & Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of booking. The Firm does not issue refunds by cheque, cash, or to a different account or instrument than the one used for payment.
Timeline is subject to your bank or payment provider's processing schedule, which is outside the Firm's control. If you have not received your refund within 10 business days of approval, please contact us with your transaction reference.
Rescheduling
If you wish to reschedule rather than cancel, please contact us at least 24 hours before your appointment. Rescheduling is subject to lawyer availability and is accommodated at no additional charge provided the original booking fee has been paid.
Rescheduling to a future date does not reset the cancellation notice period — it is calculated from the new appointment date and time.
You may reschedule a booking a maximum of one time. Subsequent changes will require a new booking and payment.
Non-Refundable Situations
No refund will be issued in the following circumstances:
- The consultation has already taken place, regardless of the client's satisfaction with the outcome.
- The cancellation request is made after the scheduled appointment time has passed.
- The client fails to attend the appointment without prior notice (no-show).
- The booking was made fraudulently or in bad faith.
- The client provides inaccurate or misleading information at the time of booking that affects the Firm's ability to conduct the consultation.
Payment Processing
Payments for consultation bookings are processed securely through [PAYMENT GATEWAY]. The Firm does not store your card details, UPI credentials, or banking information on its own systems. All payment data is handled by [PAYMENT GATEWAY] in accordance with their security standards and terms of service.
By making a payment through the booking system, you also agree to the terms and conditions of [PAYMENT GATEWAY]. In the event of a technical failure during payment, please do not attempt to pay again before contacting us to confirm whether the original transaction was processed.
Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied or that an incorrect amount has been charged, please contact us in writing at contact@omassociates.co.in with the subject line "Refund Dispute" and include your transaction ID, booking reference, and a description of your concern.
The Firm will review and respond to all refund disputes within 5 business days. If the matter is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may escalate it to your card issuer or payment provider through their standard chargeback process, or to the relevant consumer forum under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Amendments
OM Associates reserves the right to amend this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will take effect from the date of publication on this page. Bookings made before an amendment will be governed by the policy in force at the time of booking.
