Contact
Policy
This policy explains how consultation bookings are handled at OM Associates — from submitting a request to your first meeting — and what you can expect from us at every step.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Contacting OM Associates does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship. Privileged communications only arise once a formal engagement has been agreed in writing. Please do not share confidential legal information through general enquiry channels.
Purpose & Scope
This Contact Policy governs how OM Associates ("the Firm", "we", "us") receives, manages, and responds to communications — with particular focus on how consultation bookings are handled from the point of request through to the scheduled meeting.
This policy applies to all offices of OM Associates located in Jagtial, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, and to all individuals who make contact through our website, telephone, email, or in person.
Booking a Consultation — How It Works
The preferred and most efficient way to engage with OM Associates for legal advice is through our online consultation booking system. Booking through the system ensures your matter is reviewed, triaged, and assigned to the correct lawyer before your appointment — saving time and enabling a more productive first meeting.
Submit Your Request
Use our online booking form to provide your name, contact details, preferred practice area, and a brief description of your matter. Select your preferred date and time slot — Morning, Afternoon, or Evening.
Conflict Check & Assignment
The Firm conducts a conflict-of-interest check within 1 business day. Once cleared, your matter is assigned to the most suitable lawyer based on their area of expertise and availability.
Confirmation
You will receive a confirmation of your appointment by email or phone. The confirmation will include the name of the lawyer handling your consultation, the meeting format (in-person or call), and any documents you should bring.
The Consultation
Initial consultations are typically 30–45 minutes. The lawyer will assess your matter, explain your legal options, and advise on the next steps. Please bring any relevant documents, notices, or correspondence relating to your matter.
Ready to book a consultation?
Select your practice area, preferred time, and a lawyer will be assigned to you.
Walk-in consultations are accommodated where a lawyer is available, but are not guaranteed. We strongly recommend booking in advance to avoid waiting or being rescheduled.
Information Required at Booking
To process your consultation request, the Firm requires the following information. Incomplete submissions may result in delays or the inability to confirm your appointment.
All information provided at booking is treated confidentially and used solely for the purpose of scheduling and conflict-of-interest screening. It does not constitute the commencement of a legal engagement.
- Full name (as it appears on a government-issued ID)
- Contact email address and phone number
- Practice area or nature of legal matter (e.g. Corporate Law, Family & Divorce, Civil Dispute)
- Preferred date and time slot (Morning 9–12, Afternoon 12–4, Evening 4–6)
- A brief description of your matter (2–5 sentences is sufficient — do not include full case details at this stage)
- Preferred language of consultation (English, Telugu, or Hindi)
No Attorney–Client Relationship at Booking
Submitting a consultation booking request does not by itself establish an attorney–client relationship between you and the Firm or any of its lawyers.
An attorney–client relationship is only formed when the Firm has expressly agreed in writing to represent you, all conflict-of-interest checks have been completed, and a formal engagement letter or retainer agreement has been signed by both parties.
Until a formal engagement is in place, information shared through the booking form or in an initial consultation is not covered by attorney–client privilege. Please do not share full case details, sensitive documents, or confidential information prior to formalising your engagement.
Rescheduling & Cancellations
We understand that schedules change. You may reschedule a booking up to 24 hours before your appointment at no additional charge, subject to lawyer availability. To reschedule or cancel, please call +91 89771 88087 or +91 95818 80088, or email contact@omassociates.co.in with the subject line "Reschedule Request" and your booking reference.
For full details on refund amounts, timelines, and eligibility, see our dedicated Refund & Cancellation Policy.
View Refund Policy →Consultation Confidentiality
The Firm treats all information shared during an initial consultation as confidential, even before a formal engagement is established. Lawyers and staff are bound by professional confidentiality obligations under the Bar Council of India Rules made under the Advocates Act, 1961.
However, a formal attorney–client privilege only attaches once an engagement letter has been executed. Until then, while information will be kept confidential within the Firm, it does not carry the full legal protections of privilege.
For matters of a highly sensitive nature, we recommend arranging an in-person consultation rather than sharing details by telephone or email.
Urgent & Emergency Matters
If you face an urgent legal situation — including an arrest, police summons, a court deadline, search and seizure, or service of an injunction — please call us directly rather than using the online booking form.
